Hi!

I'm looking for a new headset and have a budget of $80 at most. I've already found a few options I like.

I'll be using the headset for gaming, music, and movies. I prioritize clear sound over bass. I don't mind them having bass, as long as it doesn't compromise the overall sound clarity, as I've previously had a headset with slight bass that made the audio sound a bit muffled.

I'd like your advise in choosing the best one form the following headsets (the listed prices are what they're sold for in my country):

A4tech - Bloody G528C - $50
Asus TUF Gaming H1 - $38
Bloody G528C RGB - $41
MSI DS502 - $97
Philips Hi-Fi SHC5200/10 - $67
Sandberg Disruptor - $64
Sharkoon SKILLER SGH30 - $54
Superlux - HD681 EVO - $43
Thermaltake - Shock Pro RGB - $71
Turtle Beach - Stealth 500 - $70
Venom Sabre Stereo - $50

If anyone has better suggestions within my budget, the following are non-negotiable for me:

  • I’m located in the EU and will be purchasing from here. The price must not exceed $80.
  • The headstrap must be adjustable, made of softer material like the ones listed above.
  • If wired, the headset must have a braided cable. Non-braided cables I've used in the past lasted only 4–5 months before becoming completely unusable.
  • Sound clarity is prioritized over bass. I don’t mind bass as long as long as it doesn't interfere with sound clarity.
Also, for anyone more knowledgeable: what should I look for in terms of quality when choosing a headset? I've had $30 headsets that sounded better than some in the $50 range. Thanks!

Do you have access to Koss? If you do, you can look into these;

Yeah, I've seen the video. They look nice, but unfortunately, as I mentioned, if wired, headset must have a braided cable. These ones' cables wouldn't last me even a month.

I know Koss has a wireless version but it goes over my budget.
