Newb looking for advice on a HTPC to be a PVR running WMC from a Silicondust HD Homerun Prime with cable card. i want to stop paying for cable boxes and will use xbox to extend to my other TVs.

I want this to be low power since it will be running all the time. Budget around $300.

Would haswell be the right choice (Intel HD4400 graphics)? Do i need to worry about Intel HD graphics? Would the older intel HD graphics work as well or do they have issues processing video?
Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this week (the closer the better)

Budget Range: 300-400

System Usage from Most to Least Important: DVR running windows 7 WMC, getting video from silicondust hdhomerun prime to 55 inch TV

Do you need to buy OS: have windows 7 ready to install

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: amazon

Location: City, State/Region, Country - VA, USA

Parts Preferences: thinking intel haswell, 1 TB HD, low power system

thanks.

If it's too much you can switch out the CPU for an A6.

Solution
thanks for your responses. would the intel 4130T processor be a lot better in power? it is 35W TDP compared to 100W for the A8 6600. even the A8 6500 is 65W TDP.

Yea that's also a good choice and I think the new Intel HD 4000 graphics should handle streaming.
