Budget motherboard for i7 2600 3.4 gaming/overclocking

My current mobo locks out my multiplier at 3.8. I'm wondering if there are any motherboards I can find cheap that are good for gaming and allow me to overclock. I'm not wanting to spend more than $100. Any suggestion or opinions on overclocking are welcome.

nope, thats the processor, you need a 2600k to be able to beyond 3.8.

ahh. That's disappointing. If I got another processor, the multiplier wouldn't be locked out on this board then?

yes the multi would be locked you need a z77 board.

could you suggest a good motherboard for an i7 2600k if i were to overclock it above 4.0.... gpu is gigabyte gtx 760.. i dont want to spend more than 150$ for the board..
