I'm planning a low-budget upgrade to my 8 year old PC. I will replace the i5-2500K, Radeon HD 7950, 8GB RAM, and ASUS P8Z68-V Gen 3 with around a $400 budget. I figure I can reuse my Corsair mid-tower case, SSD (SATA) and HDD, and Seasonic X-750 Gold power supply and make it a decent upgrade.
I'm thinking it's going to be a Ryzen 5 2600 (crazy value), some 16GB ram kit, and whatever the fastest video card will be available for around $150 on Black Friday/Cyber Monday - probably an RX590 is my guess.
That only leaves around $70 for the motherboard, which is not great, so I will be willing to bend my $400 budget a little to get a quality board. With that in mind, I could use some lower-budget motherboard suggestions. I'm not brand loyal and I favor quality over features. Don't need wifi. Light overclocking is a possibility but I'm not as interested in it as I was when I got the 2500K. Thanks.
