Change the case to Antec 300 - It is cheaper than that case($99) and has far better quality, air flow...

And you might want to check the AMD CPUs as well...because for the budget range, they offer more value...

And as for the mobo, a P43 mobo would better suit that CPU that you have chosen...

Choosing a costly mobo and a cheap CPU would not suit...EDIT: unless you are planning to overclock that CPU very high...

Ok thanks. With the antec case will the stock power be OK?
I might go for the EP43 except its only $20 cheaper than p45. From that website could you suggest a good AMD CPU/MOBO combo for around the same price?

The Antec case doesnt come with a power supply...
I dint notice that the CM case comes with a PSU(But it is not a good quality one)...

Change the CASE to this model ...It is about AUD 15 more but has better quality power supply...
Antec NSK4480B-II - http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=MTc1Mw==
This comes with an 80+ PSU that has enough power to run GTS 250/ ATI HD 4850 without any problems...

As for an AMD build, here goes...
CPU - X2 550 - $133
Mobo - MA770-UD3 - $109

This CPU is far more powerful than the E6300 and has performance comparable to the E7600 and just a tad slower than E8400

Ok thanks a lot. I have a Radeon 4670 (Alright card) so the Antec NSK4480B-II should have no problem with it! I think you may have just swayed me to go for the AMD option.

^ That PSU is enough even for HD 4850...

And about the CPU, AMD has really good options @ the budget segment...Check even the TOMs recent article on recommended Gaming CPUs for the money...

OK. I found the mobo at www.diyit.com.au. On the msy website it said that the 550 was an Athlon not a Phenom? was it just a typo?

This is what it says:
x2 Athlon 7750 / 240 / 245 / 250 / 550

Respective Price: 75 /79 /89 /104 /133

@scamper2 Yes it is a typo...
That last 550 is the one am talking about...

And Yes it would be easy to overclock that CPU a decent 200-300MHz on stock cooler by just increasing the multiplier as it has an unlocked multiplier...
But if you want to go higher, then I would suggest you get an aftermarket CPU cooler...

I don't think the 550 is unlocked. The Black Edition is though. Maybe I will get the black edition for an extra $25.

the 550 is a black edition. The 550, 720, 955, and 965 are all BE's with unlocked multipliers, they have no equivalents with locked multipliers, the 545 is not a BE but it clocked slightly slower than the 550, the 550 is definitely worth the small price increase.

What is the best case that looks good (I find the Antec^ a bit boring), is cheap (Cheaper than Antec) and has quality PSU and good airflow?

Looks are a matter of personal taste, but about the only cases than come with bundled PSU's that aren't junk are Antec. If you don't like the looks of the Antec cases, I would buy the case and PSU separate.

Is the new Antec 200 available to you? It has a little bit different look.

I don't know what you like in a case, but Cooler Master also makes pretty nice cases.

^ Yes...
But you wont be able to upgrade to a more powerful graphics card without having to upgrade your PSU...
Anything above the HD 4670 would require a little more powerful PSU...But maybe it would just be enough to run a low TDP card like the HD 4770...
And the upcoming graphic card line-up from ATI seems to be more towards lower TDP ratings...So if you are not an intense gamer, then I think that 350W would be suffice...
