[SOLVED] Budget pc build

Solution
You will have to scale back the performance, a bit, with that budget, and build it right. You don't want to use just any PSU, as a junk quality one can die and take your hardware with it, quite easily.

What type of PSU? Not all 500 watt PSU models are good.

Also with ryzen, if you can get a set of 2 sticks instead of just one it should perform a little better. But with that board I see why you want to do that. You might look at a few other boards to see if you can get one that has 4 slots instead of 2 near the same price. If so you can get a set of 2 4gb sticks of ram so you can run in dual channel mode, then add another kit later.

No it is not. Ram needs to be in a 2x4gb config, and at least 3000 speed. Also, you want a quality power supply. 500w tells us nothing. Also, since you have a dedicated gpu, change the CPU to an R5 1600/2600 or even an R7 1700. Prices are pretty close to the 2400g, and much better options.

How big is the difference between 2x4gb and 1x4gb?

a bit less than 500 euros buying components in germany

His build looks good. If I may, I'd like to make one tweak if you were to go to 500.

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/72wqqs/amd-ryzen-5-1400-32ghz-quad-core-processor-yd1400bbaebox

I looked up the Ryzen 5 1400. It's a part from last year. However, instead of being a quad core, it's a quad core with SMT(hyperthreading basically). So it will attempt to act like an 8 core. Which you would want for gaming as a lot of games are starting to become more multithreaded.

Other than that, I fully agree with the build above.

So 1400 is better than 2400g?
Also is this a good psu 500W Raidmax Cobra RX-500AF-B, 80PLUS Bronze

How do I determine if a psu is good?

I would prefer the Corsair PSU vs the raidmax. They seem to be known for being very budget based equipment.

As far as the 2400g vs the 1400. The 2400g is preferable, but I seem to recall folks saying there was some kind of slight performance hit of using a Ryzen cpu with integrated graphics(like the 2400g) vs one without. If it's between that and the 1400, I would go with the 2400g I think, but you might see if you see a 2600 for a similar price. I don't think the 2400g is a deal breaker by any stretch.

If you wanted to trim the budget a little more, here is an option.

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/PFMwrH/xfx-radeon-rx-570-8gb-black-edition-video-card-rx-570p8dbd6

the 580 4gb card is good, but the 570 is close to it. I think I'd prefer the 8gb as well. Plus it opens the budget for a better PSU than the raidmax, and the 2600 possibly.

Here's a post from reddit where they were discussing that topic actually.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/9uiaio/rx580_4gb_vs_rx570_8gb_for_longterm/

If you look at some youtube videos, you can get an idea of the performance difference. But the rx 570 should be close to the 580. And having the extra vram should help it. With 4gb, you may find yourself turning settings down sometimes anyway.

I cant find corsair in the shop im getting all the components, also they dont have rx 570 8gb so im gonna get rx 580 4gb. So its good like this?

Corsair CX550m, which I meant instead of 650m, earlier. The problem isn't the wattage. It's the quality of PSU that you keep choosing. PSU is the single most important part of your system, and one you should never cheap out on. A low quality one can die and take your system with it. You do not want that.

Thank you for everything, this is my final build:

Ryzen 2200g
Rx 580 4gb OC
Gigabyte B450M DS3H
DDR4 2x4gb ram 3000mhz CL16
CX550m
WD Blue 1Tb

Is it all good now?
