Budget PC for surfing web and maybe image edition.

Hello, I've put together this configuration and I'd like to know if its components are compatible and if it'll do for my use. Here it is:

- Power Supply: Thermaltake 350W Purepower ATX12V v2.2 W0328RU;
- Mother Board: Asus F1A55-M LX FM1 socket AMD A55 (Hudson D2);
- APU (was recommended by a friend of mine): AMD A8-3870k Llano 3.0 GHz FM1 socket 4MB cache Radeon HD6550D;
- HDD: Hitachi Ultrastar 1TB 7200 RPM 32 MB SATA;
- Memory: AMD 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz PC3-12800;

I plan on drawing on some program like photoshop, working on AutoCad (or something similar) and watching HD videos. Will this work for me?

That setup should be perfectly fine for what you want to use it for. What site are you getting parts from, just curious?

I do have one suggestion. If you are planning to do photo editing, you may want more than 4GB of RAM. Also, the AMD APU's use your system RAM for video RAM. So the faster RAM you have the better your video will perform. I would highly suggest going for a set of 8GB DDR3 2133MHz RAM. It would perform much better for you.

I agree with Jay, everything looks great but more ram will make image editing much faster.
Even 16 gb would be reasonable.

Yes, 2133MHz DDR3 RAM is compatible with your motherboard. You will want to read the manual and make sure you set it to accept the X.M.P. Profile. When you first install any RAM it will default to a slower factory speed. However, it has an XMP profile that has the advertised clock and latency speeds. Each motherboard has this setting somewhere, you will want to set it.
