I want to get into pc gaming and don't know what processor to get. I can't decide if I want the i3 6100 or the pentium g4400. I'm on a really tight budget and would probably be upgrading around christmas. The rest of my build is a Zotac 750ti, evga 500w power supply, gigabyte ga-h110m -a motherboard, 8gb of g.skill ddr4 ram, a 240gb ssd, corsair carbide 100r case, and the process or I can't decide on. If there is anything you think that should be changed please tell me.

Solution
The i3 is the better choice because some games/programs REQUIRE 4 cores (threads) and while both are "dual cores" the i3 has hyper threading which lets it's 2 cores perform 2 tasks at the same time and thus act like a 4 core CPU when required.

I would suggest buying a used 970 gtx instead , i have seen them going for as low as
US $225.00
Approximately £153.28
Which is about 40% more than a 750ti But it will be more than twice as fast.

I wouldn't disagree, a used 970/960 would be a fairly large step up in performance, and there is likely to be a large number of them coming on the market soon as people upgrade to the new 1080/1070.
