So I bought an Open-box Gigabyte Radeon 7750 for around $75 this summer, and it recently stopped working.

I've been seeing reviews that the 7770 is better, and I'm also just wondering if it's overkill for what I want to do.

I mostly play League of Legends and MMO's of various age, gaming wise.

I intend to eventually try going into video editing or 3D animation, but I haven't worked out the software situation yet.

I'd like to not go too far over 100 USD, though I'm open to suggestions otherwise.

Specs:

Mobo:MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate
CPU: Intel i5-4670k

Solution
You'll do fine on a 7790 for that resolution

CUDA is Nvidia proprietary technology for GPU accelerating some tasks.
OpenCL is the open version that AMD and Nvidia support
i agree 7850 is very easy to OC. But its 150$ for a new one. So the 650 ti boost is the best choice. I think its 110$ or 115$. I would say save up money for the 7850 until you get like 150$. Though i think its overdoing it for an MMO unless its skyrim, but it looks like he plays things like Free Realms, LOL, Dota which can run fine on 60FPS on Intel HD 3000. I would buy the 7790 and get an MMO Gaming Mouse like the Razer NAGA.
