Hi!
I'm looking at getting a new PC. I don't expect to be playing Crysis 3 at highest settings, but I want to play future games, like BF4. I am willing to upgrade my PC (you'll see why  ), but NOT the processor. I can change the GPU and PSU, but NOT THE CPU. I'm only 14 and I'm bad with small parts :D . So here are the two computers...
#1
A $480 Acer desktop sold from newegg.com
Intel Core i5 3330 (3 GHz)
6 GB RAM
1 TB HDD 5400 RPM
NVidia GT 630 2 GB (which is why I want to upgrade)
300 W PSU

#2
Alienware x51 (don't kill me)
$699.99
Intel Core i3 3220 @ 3.3 GHz
6 GB RAM
1 TB HDD 7200 RPM
NVidia GTX 645
330 W external PSU (kind of like what the PS3 and Xbox 360 have)

So... which one should I get. I know I can build better ones, but my mom won't let me because she's afraid the computer might explode  I've also had bad experiences with custom computers (Cyber Power) and just want to get a name brand that I know I can trust. The main reason why I'm asking this is because I'm not sure how long the i3 3220 will last into the future. Both have their strong points, but I don't know which to get!

Any help is appreciated :)

There are some great custom builder out there that my friends can verify for you. Companies like Origin PC, iBuyPower or DigitalStorm are great, iBuyPower is relatively cheap and for ~$700 I think you'll get a decent PC. To answer your question, the second one is the better of the 2. Keep in mind though the GTX645 is hardly a strong card that will hardly last you long into next-gen games.

OH NO! I bought a PC from Cyber Power and they gave me a faulty part. Customer service was bad. I returned the PC (I'm using the money to get a new PC) and they won't even pay for the return shipping. It's no my fault that the PC was defective!
Thanks anyway :)

That is pretty nice. But, do they do the same thing as Cyber Power? As in, buy the parts and assemble them by hand?

Yes, like every other manufacturer. But Cyber Power probably doesn't have quality control checks, but I'm just guessing since I never tried that manufacturer.

Cyber Power apparently does... but it must have been useless because my processor reached over 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
