Budget System (in need of advice)

While I've messed around inside computers quite a bit, this would be the first system I built myself.

That looks decent for a budget system. I know the 5000+ and the soprano are a bundle at newegg right now. But it's not a great case. You can get an Antec 300 and a decent powersupply in a good combo from newegg right now, plus free shipping; the case will be much better suited for a gaming rig in the long run because its better airflow.

Check out heatsinks from thermalright, and fans from nexus.

Thanks for the advice effel. It costs $70 more, but before I hadn't chosen a fan and this processor comes with one. I think the stock amd fan will work for me since I won't be overclocking. So really I think it's probably just $20-$35 more expensive and I got an upgrade to processor speed.

Btw not too long ago I bought a DVD drive for my wife's computer only to find it was a SATA drive, and not the usual ATA I was used to in the past. I'm assuming I can throw that guy in here.

Oops, I wasn't paying attention and in the process of making this switch now have only a 430 watt power supply (see link for details across the rails). My research says this is fine.

Could anyone confirm or deny?
