I want to upgrade my home PC - it's quite old at this point

3GHz Celeron
8GB RAM
Gigabyte motherboard
240 SSD boot drive
Corsair CX430 PS
3 - 2TB drives
2 - 27" monitors

I'm running Linux and will continue to do so. Main purpose is to connect into work with VMware's Horizon Client. Other things I do with it is I run ZoneMinder for security system and I would like to run X-Plane 11.

I'm thinking about moving to AMD this time (mainly for $$$)...

i'm looking to get into this a cheaply as possible but I will spend what I have to to future-proof as much as I can. I'm thinking about staying with Gigabyte for the MB as I know them....

I need 16GB RAM and something to drive my 2 monitors.....

Thoughts?

Here is a solid rig for under $700. Not a bad deal at all.

The processor is 4 cores 8 threads, is fully upgradable until the year 2020 and the socket will take up to 8 core 16 threads. The integrated vega graphics is pretty good and you can install a graphics card in the future if you need to. Feel free to put any capacity SSD or subtract the cost 1tb if you already have one:
