[SOLVED] Budget System Redux / Power supply question

Specs:
Ryzen 7 1700x (3.9 ghz oc at 1.375v)
ASUS ROG Strix B350-F Gaming MB
Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 (2x8gb) 16gb
MSI RX570 Armor 8gb OC
Corsair CX 750w

Just redid my pc to better specs at a budget. Got the Ryzen 7 chip and MB for just over 200 and got the RX570 used for $110.

Is the 750w PSU good enough for this setup?
Can I expect to get 1440p from this rig? I really think 4k is not there with this gpu. Thanks.

The Ryzen 1700x is a 95 watt tdp chip and the RX 570 uses about 450 watts on average so you should be perfectly fine. In fact, you will probably be fine with overclocking. It's not like your PC will catch fire seeing as you have a good Corsair power supply. The PC will just stop working and shut down if it runs out of juice.

RX 470 using 450w? What are you smoking?
The MSI RX 470 is completely incapable of using 450W. It has a single 8-pin pci-e power connection that is rated for a max of 150w so that combined with a the pci-e slot gives it a theoretical max of 225w, however it will use much less that that(~170w according to reviews).


The RX 470 is more of a 1080p card, you can run 1440p but depending on the game may need to lower graphics setting depending on what FPS you want.

Well I did some diving and the RX 570's recommended psu is 450w so maybe thats what he meant. In all he is right a 750w will be good enough for the ryzen and 570
