Budget Thread

Hello,

I have a $200 dollar budget on new computer parts ( namely looking for motherboard and CPU parts ) and I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. The links will need to be to Amazon, since I received the gift cards to there.

The HP website only list the PC with 3GB of RAM. That is a rather odd amount since it is typically 2GB or 4GB. What operating system does it come with (it is not listed)? Windows (any version) 32-bit cannot use 4GB of RAM so maybe that is why only 3GB is listed. Windows 64-bit can recognize 4GB+ of RAM. If the PC only comes with Windows (7 or 8) 32-bit, then there is no point in spending money on RAM. You can use that money towards the graphics card or you can simply save that money on the RAM you were about to spend.

$128.33 for a used Radeon HD 5670???? That is a huge rip-off. Get the following Radeon HD 7770 for $135. As a comparison it is almost as powerful as a Radeon HD 5830.

If you want to save a bit of cash then get the following Radeon HD 7750 for $100. It is basically equal to a Radeon HD 5770.
