Hello guys!
Can you please advice me if this budget built will be okay? I'm not really good at building a PC, so I don't know most of the stuff.
Here're my specs:
GPU: GTX GeForce 1060 3 bg;
Windows 10 64bit;
Motherboard: H61M-S2PV
RAM: 4gb RAM
CPU: Intel Pentium G2120 3.10GHz.

I wanted to but Xeon 1230 V2 and make my RAM 8 or 16, but I dunno if it's okay and even reasonable to up it to 16. And if that's even okay to do such upgrade.
Thank you in advance

16GB will allow you to play really demanding games while having other programs open.
Definitelly worth it.
For your purpose, which i assume would be gaming, i would advise to i7 3770, instead of the Xeon, since the i7 is better in gaming (a bit).
Also i think cheaper?
Get a SSD if you dont have one.

Reasonable choices. Depends on what you are paying.

Whichever quad core CPU with hyperthreading you can find for the least would be my choice. If that is the Xeon, go for it.

If you can find 16GB of memory cheaply, again, a good choice. Won't hurt anything to have it.
Thank you! How much MHz will my PC manage? I heard there's like 800~ish, 100 and 1300. Or every of this will be fine and what's the diffenrece?

I've checked and i7's price is x2 higher, I'm looking for a real cheap upgrade due to current circumstances, I'll probably upgrade my PC fully in about a year or so

Thats a hard question.

if you budget is under ~100$ I would get the 1230v3+ DDR3
if your budget is ~200$ I would get a huananzhi x99-TF motherboard and a 2678v3+ DDR3

Officially something like a Xeon 1230 V2 or i7-3770 can run DDR3 1600, 1333 is also an option.

Though you could also get something like 1866 or 2133 and you could probably get that to work.
Sorry for a stupid question, I just need to find any DDR3 ram? Or is there any other criteries for my motherboard to fit?

Sry for the late reply.
Yes, that would be compatible.
So you are aiming for 12GB's?
No worries!
I've watched some tests, looks like there're no much difference between 12gb and 16gb, so I think 12 will be enough, but I'll listen to your advice tho, if 16 much better, there would be no issues to buy it I think, it's just 12 is cheaper)

It may default to 1066 when you install it, and you may have to manually set the speed and timings. Though it looks like that memory comes with a 1333Mhz profile.

If it won't do 1600Mhz, then 1333Mhz will do.

No absolute guarantee it will boot with that memory in there, but it should.

So it's better not to risk it and just buy the max that my motherboard can hadle? For me it's 1333 MHz
