The R9 270 has some serious 'compute' power --- well beyond that of the GTX 760 . I'm assuming the 580 and 760 are roughly similar.

I could be off-base, there, but I doubt it. AMD has worked with Adobe on GPU acceleration but you should verify any specific tasks that you think may be a big part of your workflow.

I think it would be a wise choice. CPU should be fine for what you are doing.

More RAMs is always good in a video/graphics build. An SSD will fly in booting, launching programs and other heavy disk I/O (and allow you to use the 1TB HDD for 'scratch').

The FX-8320 will work dandy in multi-threaded rendering and effects.

I've been generally pleased with Rosewill cases from New Egg. Most come with multiple fans, front USB3 and free shipping for less than $50.

There were some Corsair Cyber Monday specials -- but the low-budget ones have disappeared. I've never used one, but here is an Antec GX500 for $30 after $20 rebate
