Hello,

I have a Buffalo NAS (Linkstation duo) which is broken because of thunder I guess.

I'm trying to recover my data by plugging the 2 disks in my Linux Computer through USB Adapter.
I did a rebuild of the raid array (RAID0: striping) with mdadm because the raid component had disappeared from 1 disk.

The problem is that I can see the files but they seem to be corrupted.

See image below: the preview is good but not the full picture

Do you think there is a solution ? Maybe I made a mistake when I built the raid array (I used a 64kb chunk size).

Thanks for your help.

Definitely looks to be an issue with the stripe size. You can try the demo version of R-Studio for linux (http://www.r-studio.com/data_recovery_linux/) to virtually build the array and quickly try every stripe size to find the right one. Then you can just build it using the settings you find in mdadm. Or pay the $79 and have a really awesome data recovery suite.
