How the hell can a buffer underrun occur when burn proof is set and the recorder supports BURN proof. It's nonsense!

I hate all the bloody options that you have to set too! Mode2XA Mode 1, RAW, disc at once, track at once. BLAH BLAH..

JUST WRITE THE BLOODY DATA OR COPY THE BLOODY DISC OK!!!!!! JUST DO IT, AND DO IT PROPERLY!

Problem is that nothign is ever perfect, and stuff still happens. I have a 75GXP 46GB, and get buffer underruns every time I try to burn at 12x- so I set it to 10x. ....then one day my patience will run out and I'll kill teh hdd with a hammer....or maybe a drill? Whuch one would u choose?

NOS and a Ferrari can be fun!

Ok, so now you've had time to calm down and stop ranting...

1) Try clonecd. It copies with minimal options.
2) Buffer underruns don't occur with burnproof. Something's wrong with your drive/system.
3) Head to http://www.cdrinfo to find out what all that mode1/mode2, XA, Joliet, DAO, TAO, Raw stuff takes care of.

Want something simple? Ahead Nero or Roxio Easy CD Creator. Drag, drop, burn.

regarding that clonecd, i heard that copies cd's exactly, like bit-by-bit or something, so you can uh, copy cd's that dont copy too well for certain reasons. like protection hehehe. is that true? i'm terrible at scratching game cd's, or something.

NO.

Using clonecd to copy a game cd will cause your system to melt. Six people have posted on Usenet that their IBM 60GXP drives locked up, and began grinding when they tried to pirate a game with clonecd. When they removed them from the case, the under side soldier of the harddrive had melted and dripped down onto their front case fan, which hardened and cause the fan to shear off a blade, throwing it into the frontside bus heatsink fan, and melted their northbridge and ruined their motherboard.

or something.

Are you serious man? Woah- that's freaky...hmm, maybe I can replace w/ AMD761 mobo by doing that. hmm. :) Why would it do that though? I use blind read/write anyway, cause clonecd don't work w/ my burner, but have a few friends who have it.

Thanks for all the info guys, I'll be sure to follow up all the links you've provided. As for Roxio WinOnCD or Nero it's one of those two which actually gave me the BURN. Anyway never mind, most of the time it's trial and error to see what works best on your system.

Cheers.
