A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ntoskrnl.exe

REFERENCE_BY_POINTER

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer
for any Windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then
select Safe Mode.

I don have enough knowledge but I think it might be to with a driver which has a bug?

from trying a quick search of

*** STOP: 0x00000018 (0xffffa40561ff96c0, 0xffffa40584cd3de0, 0x0000000000000001,
0xffffffffffffffff)

*** ntoskrnl.exe - Address 0xfffff80258a2b8f0 base at 0xfffff80258600000 DateStamp
0xaff18ce5

what driver is causing it I wouldn't know, that is if it is a driver issue.

has anything been updated like any device drivers?

have change any settings ?

Hopefully some with more understanding can help you if you ask in OS part of the forum?

Here's some fixes for you.

I'm also going to recommend a utility for you called 'Who Crashed'.

It basically takes those files your trying to decipher and translates them into plain english, making troubleshooting stuff like this much easier!

No, seriously, I use this all the time. If anything crashes, this is the first utility I call upon.

Get it here.
