I have just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Prior to this I had no issues, but since upgrading and having to update my nVidia driver I get several bugchecks per day (bugcheck 116).

053116-21593-01.dmp 31/05/2016 14:09:42 0x00000116 ntoskrnl.exe+14f4d0 dxgkrnl.sys+1411dc ffffe000`0e5611a0 fffff800`fee37d80 00000000`00000000 00000000`0000000d dxgkrnl.sys x64

I am sure it is not a hardware problem because it was fine on windows 7 and started the same day I upgraded.

I have made sure the graphics card is properly seated (though there was no reason it would not be) and the installed nVidia driver is the latest one (368.22 - 23 May 2016).

The card is not overheating (runs cool at around 28C)

My Corsair RM850i PSU is more than up top the job and is stable (12.1v, 5.0v and 3.3v - temperature 41C)

Can anyone help me resolve this please.

I ran the Guru3D Display Driver Uninstaller and manually reinstalled the latest nVidia driver. Unfortunately it did not resolve the issue.

I also ran sfc /scannow. It found and fixed a couple of errors that did not seem to have anything to do with graphics. (unfortunately I didn't make a note of the errors because I assumed it would have logged them somewhere.
