I just assumed it was a pirated copy. Anyone who'd installed the no-cd patch
IMM would have asked 'Where can I get a no-cd patch that allows building?'

I could be wrong of course. I have assumed pirated copies in the past when
people had a real one.

Yes of course - you can find it in your local software emporium - just
upload your credit card to the nice assistant behind the desk and they will
hand you the patch in a nice shiny carrier.

You do know that some no-cd patches cause people to not be able to build,

Sorry, but I'm with Mim on this one. If it looks like a duck and quacks like
a duck... Even its handle screams 'pirate'.

Well they aren't responding so probably so. A simple answer to my question
would have been enough, but didn't even get that.
When I heard the no-cd patch prevented building I knew I wasn't getting it.
But there is no no-dvd patch, which is what I would need anyway 🙁

I know, I've looked high and low and the only reliable thing so far
has been to image the CD or DVD and use DAEMON Tools
(http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/index.php) to mount it. At
least no more swapping, just put the new drive letter as the last one
and forget about it. 🙂

Well, I found a program that i thought was gonna work, but it does cost
money, but has a 30-day trial, thank goodness.
It worked for a while, then my game would start crashing when it was
'blurring reality'. Kind of funny where it picked to crash. It would start
fine the second time tho, but the first time of the day it would crash right
at that point. So I uninstalled that program and ever since no crashing
while it was blurring reality, lol.
As far as the daemon tools go, are they free? I am looking at the site and
they appear to be.
I feel almost over my head here lately tho, not sure if I could figure it
out or not 🙁
