Additional Comments:
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Current computer is an old Dell and runs super slow.
So I have a guy who is currently using an old Dell computer that he keeps asking me for help with. One of the main things that he needs help with is patience. The computer is old and slow, I think it's a Intel P4 with 1GB of RAM. I was going to upgrade the memory for him, but I think just a brand new system would be much better and easier if I could get him to go that way. He has plenty of money, but he is cheap. He is an older guy, 50+ so doesn't need a super computer, just something that he can check his e-mail, go on Facebook, put his music cd's in and listen to them, fairly simple stuff. I was looking on Bestbuy.com and the lowest I saw was $319 for an HP. But of course personally I hate prebuilt computers. They drive me crazy. Was wondering if there was something I could put together on the cheap side. It doesn't have to be the newest and greatest parts, it could be something from a year ago, 2 years ago, whatever, that is still available for purchase. Anything is better than what he has now. Sorry for the long post, just trying to add in as much information as possible.
Thanks in advanced!
