Yes it can. I use a 660 with an AMD Phenom xII 970 and play on ultra. However it's not perfectly smooth so I lower a couple of settings to make it smoother

I would personally ditch the SSD buy one in the near future in order to get a 670 or 7970 but to each his/her own.Anyway nice build.

Get a 64 gb ssd, get a cheaper motherboard, then buy a 7970.
