i want to build a non-gaming system for a family member. She will primarily use it to do Accounting "stuff" what ever that is. I would assume she would also do some surfing. I do not think any major gaming would be done.

I dont care if its an AMD or Intel build. I was thinking of AMD but i was not sure what CPU to start with.

i was hoping to make it so it boots up really fast so really the only requirement i was going to have is that it have the memory that plugs into the MOB....i think its called NvME but i am not sure. I just remember that by installing OS on this it boots up really fast. I also wanted like at least 16 to 32G of RAM so she has wayyy more than she will ever need.

any suggestions on a build would be greatly appreciated.

This is how I would do it. You can always disable the RGB/unplug it, if you don't want it. I mad my choice for good airflow, and a quieter system.

If she also needs a monitor consider looking at an AIO.

Question: I started looking at the specs of the cpu and i mistakenly thought you all suggested the amd 5600X ......but then i realized you suggested the 5600G..........when i look at the specs the 5600X seems way better.........should i consider this one? or is it overkill?

quick question: how to know if a cpu has on board graphics or not..........

On processor graphics?

AMD typically end in a "g". Like 5600g. There aren't many.

Intel recent generation is trickier.

Intel ending in K does.

Intel ending with a 0 (like 12700) does.

Intel ending in F does not.

Intel ending in KF does not.

But I'm not sure how far down the product line that is true. Maybe not as you get down into the cheaper stuff.

Best idea is to look at Intel spec sheets if unsure.

question about memory part of build: DDR43200 vs DDR4 3600....when i built the computer for my wife i used 3600......and things have been good......so i was thinking about using 3600 again.......is there a problem using 3600?
