Hi,

My girlfriend wants to get a PC to play games like the Sims 4 and Civ 6. She wants to spend under $1000 CAD.
I was thinking something like this but I need to get it under $1000. Maybe Ryzen would be better for her? She also would need WiFi.

Any help is appreciated.

Far, far superior performance by going Ryzen
CPU that performs like an I7 8700k but has a stock cooler.
RX590 that is a good bit faster than an RX570.

Had to add a wifi card to get wifi, but no big deal.

Bump your motherboard down and that build will fit budget. Could shave a few more bucks with a bit less PSU. Would work extremely well on the games you list.
A Ryzen 5 rig would likely come in a few dollars cheaper on same/comparable parts.
