I've bought a Lian Li TU100 and I want as much breathing room for the GPU, I found these picture online.

I've got the tools to do this but I want to know more about fan placement and what type of gpu..."blower style" or fans and do i want exhaust or intake for the fans near the gpu, I need help I'm confused.

Solution
the side would be for intake as your gpu will be sucking air from this side. you may want to use a multi fan gpu design. while blower style will expel more heat out the rear of the card (which is good for small cases) they tend to run a bit hotter as well and are a bit noisy. the multi fan designs run cooler and quieter.

given the close proximity to the gpu from the side of the case you may be able to just duct over to the gpu instead of adding fans. if you do use fans, they would need to be pushing air in.
