Build finished, no video output, System Speaker not working?

Hi, i just finished my build but I have no video output. I know this is a common problem, and i went through the checklist ("System won't boot" and "no video output"). Everything seems to be okay, but I have trouble with the System Speaker thing. I plugged the speaker into the header but when I turn it on, there's no sounds at all. Did I not plug it in right? What sounds am I supposed to hear?

Also, any other suggestions why I might have the problem with the video output?

I checked everything, tried the RAM sticks separately in different slots, made sure everything is tight in its slots, tried HDMI and VGA, I don't know what else to do, besides the speaker thing.

is CPU/GPU fan spinning?
Did you check input source of your monitor?

yes, all the fans are spinning, GPU, PSU, CPU, case fans. Ich checked the monitor on my netbook and it works.

I am confused as to why i don't hear anything. All I have to do is plug in the little system speaker, correct? so I did that, now when I turn it on, I should hear beeps, correct?

Ha, so I got a screen now, after unplugging the cd drive and taking out the GPU.
Now the problem is though, I only get the "reboot and select proper boot device" but no bios, nothing before this screen that tells me how to access bios or anything.

Any ideas? How can I find out which key to press for this mother board to get into bios?
Its an ASRock H97m pro4

ok, got it, just pressed like every key when turning it on again. lol
