Build for companies and keep 1

Does anybody know of a company or business that will send you computers for you to build for them, and if you build a certain amount you get to keep one? I heard of a group a while back that will send you computers to build, they have a plan where you build 6 and keep 1. I just can't remember who they are. The one I looked at it was to help teach computer building. Also does anybody know how I can get parts to build a computer relatively cheap and possibly nearby?

Where to buy cheap parts, eBay, Newegg, Amazon, Craigslist. Local computer stores would be pricier. About the business model of you keeping a part of systems you build, don't think I ran across that before.
