Build For My Studio

I have Cakewalks Sonar 5 Producer Edition which requires me to use Windows XP professional. I have a digital recorder that has optical connection. I would like at least 8GB ram for running multiple wave tracks and at least 1TB HDD. I need help in selecting a motherboard, CPU, Chipset and any other devices needed to make this work for a recording studio. Thanks

win xp pro won't see past 3.25 GB of RAM, more is pointless.

Windows 7 ultimmate, however, has a Windows XP Pro emulation mode that works very well

Upgrading to Ultimate would be a great choice if you're a student you should be able to get a pretty cheap copy or if you know a student
