Hi

I have a problem guys i want to buy a new computer, but i can't decide or build a system from Amd of from Intel. Now i have Intel core i5 4590 before that i have only Amd chips ( Phenom quad core ,Fx 4100, fx 6100,...). For weeks i reading and collecting information, and there i always get to a wall of Amd and Intel funs which everyone of them defend his own.

So i decide to build two system for relatively same price. From old system i have 1 year old Asus Nvidia Gtx 1060 3 gb, which i want to combine to new system.

Amd build:

- Amd ryzen 5 2600
- GIGABYTE X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING
- G.SKILL Flare X 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz DDR4
- Asus Nvidia GTX 1060 3 gb ( Already have it)
- SAMSUNG 960 EVO 250GB M.2 PCIe NVMe (MZ-V6E250BW) SSD
- ANTEC EarthWatts Gold Pro EA550G 550W 80Plus
- PHANTEKS ECLIPSE P300 TEMPERED GLASS

Intel build:

- Intel core i5 8600
- GIGABYTE Z370 HD3P
- G.skill Trident Z RGB F4-3000C14D-16GTZR
- Asus Nvidia GTX 1060 3 gb ( Already have it)
- SAMSUNG 960 EVO 250GB M.2 PCIe NVMe (MZ-V6E250BW) SSD
- ANTEC EarthWatts Gold Pro EA550G 550W 80Plus
- PHANTEKS ECLIPSE P300 TEMPERED GLASS

I want your opinion about these two builds, average price of build is 930 euros.

I appreciate your help

I suppose it depends on your goal. If it is gaming, then the GTX1060 3GB is more or less going to set the limits of gaming performance. Either CPU is enough to drive that up to its maximum.

Both builds are more expensive then they need to. Unless you really need the features on X470/Z370 motherboards you can easily go with B450/B360. Or on the Intel build go ahead and get an i5-8600k and a mid-range CPU cooler.

(Basically if you are not going for overclocking, you can easily save 50+)

So you've probably seen this before, but Intel for solely gaming, Ryzen if you want a good mix of gaming and productivity. Additionally AMD is likely to have a better upgrade path then Intel (So for that X470 isn't a bad choice, more likely to support...

Additionally AMD is likely to have a better upgrade path then Intel (So for that X470 isn't a bad choice, more likely to support Zen 2 based processors) Whereas on Intel Coffeelake is already being replaced and a new chipset offering will be available (Z390). After that it is likely Intel will make an all new chipset, and possibly socket, for Cannonlake based desktop parts.

Thx for so quick answer

I'm sorry because i didn't tell nothing about purpose of use .
Meanly this computer will be mean for mix use, i play some games such us ( COD, Sniper elite, cities skyline, LOL, ... non of them isn't so hard for system which i use it now, in free time i use a 3d model programs, such us Rhinocherus, 3d Max, some programs from Adobe collection ( Photoshop, Illustrator , InDesign,..) and that's it.
I do not need so much power but like my friends says " it's better much, then less".

You said about change X470 for B450 to save some money, i will be do that , but the difference between them is just 20 euros so it's not big deal, to get some extra features.

Like I thought so, AMD will be in this time better option then Intel.
