1.) Is SLI-ing 1-2 years in the future with another GTX 970 viable? Or should I just ditch it when the time comes and get a whole new card? I'm set up to SLI, but if single card is fine then it could save me some money.

2.) Speaking of money, any places I could save on this build?

3.) Does it look good? anything that I'm doing wrong?

thanks for any help:)

Solution
build looks good to me except for the RAM. Your going to want a dual channel kit (2x4GB) for the RAM so that your computer won't get bottlenecked by your memory.

As for SLI, I don't know. Lots of things change in a few years. I'd plan to SLI, but if something better turns up in the next 2 years then go for that.

Build looks good. What will you primarily use this build for? Are you planning to over-clock? Also, just stick with one GPU and get the best one you can afford. Once you find the GPU is no longer getting the job done in the games you play, THEN upgrade to a newer GPU later on down the line if possible. A GTX 970 or 980 should hold you for at least a good 5 years or so, I'd think. Yes, there will always be newer and better GPUs released in those 5 years, but will they be worth the upgrade to you?
