Hi im building a new video editing PC, Primarily for Premier pro and after effects. Just want to get everyone's thoughts. If everything is compatible and makes sense. Also a couple questions Can the Asus motherboard support the 14th gen with a bios update? Im open to new case ideas but very hard to find 420mm radiator supported cases.

Have you considered the Gigabyte AERO motherboard? It's aimed at content creation, not gamers.
Overall it's similar to your ASUS choice, though it has an extra M.2 slot.

Both boards needs to have BIOS updated for a 14th gen CPU. I'm not 100% sure but it seems both boards can be flashed without a CPU installed.

What do you think of the case? Do you know any other good cases that take the 420 rad

is this the one you mentioned

Gigabyte Z790 Aero G ?

looks like 100$ more but i dont think i need 5 m.2 slots. was there anything else you think makes it better

A few changes. 1TB M.2 SSD w/DRAM cache for your o/s and proggies, and 4TB M.2 SSD for storage so that you don't suck up all your PCIe lanes. You want an ATX 3.0 psu for these RTX 40XX cards and tbh a 850W psu will work fine. This MSI board has better specs including audio codec not to mention it comes with the 14 gen bios preinstalled.

I saw the Aero at a slightly cheaper price.
They're both fine. I'm not sure i'd give the Aero the nod even at equal price but definetly not if costs so much.

I hadn't heard that before. As @35below0 pointed out the Gigabyte Aero G is a solid option.

You can't use integrated graphics on either Inter or AMD CPUs if the motherboard does not have display out ports (DP,HDMI,D-Sub, or VGA).

Those motherboards make sense only if you buy a CPU without an iGPU.

It does not apply to every MSi board. Just those without display ports for integrated graphics.

do you guys think a 360 rad is good enough for the cpu? its just very limiting case wise with the 420. Are we talking 1% difference in cpu performance?

Also the Antec forces the Rad mount to be hose up which i heard can cause bubbling sounds?
