Hi all, just looking for any direction with my new PC build. Not 100% on what info/rules I should be following first time poster, went through the majority of the troubleshooting but could not confidently isolate what the potential issue may be.

Basically I'm having gone through (with a slightly more tech savvy friend) how to put together all my new parts, and it appears to all be correct except for the fact that my monitor does not pick up/display anything when my system is powered on. I've plugged out and back in most connections to confirm none are loose, and my mate has tried going through some basic checks however we are stuck now it seems.

I can send images of the setup if needed, as i'm trying to ensure everything is connected in the right place and it's not through my own error that's it's not working. The case is brand new along with everything else except the GPU (GeForce GTX 1050ti) so i'm not sure if it's just configured wrong or one of the parts is a dud, any help is appreciated.

Specs are as follows;
CPU = i9 11900 (LGA1200)
Mobo = TUF Gaming B460-Plus
Ram = 2x 8gb Viper Vengeance

The confusing thing is when I turn on the whole PC lights up all 5 fans are spinning it seems like it's working but all that shows is a black screen. Maybe I need to do something with the bios or the wiring? Kind of lost with it ngl

I knew it had to be something with compatibility! My friend picked out the parts seemingly he meant to link me the 10900 🤦

Thank you so much, I'll probably just get a new motherboard so seeing as that's the cheaper option. Any recommendations on a solid cheap mobo that is compatible with the i9-11900? Cheers again for the heads up with the compatibility issue.

hmm...your CPU and mainboard arent compatible with eachother
so you have two options now
replace CPU with 10th gen icore like 10900
or replace mainboard with b560 chipset
