Hi

I am currently helping a friend come up with some ideas for a new machine. He will be doing a lot of photo editing and some video editing as well. He is not interested in gaming. I have an idea of what I would recommend but I wanted to see what other people would recommend. His budget is 2,500 for the machine. Thank you for your help!

need good cpu without breaking the budget.

The motherboard is easy to use and jaystwocents from youtube recomends them to a lot of people and has room for more ram sticks if needed.

Ram speed does not matter as much to the 3k cpu vs the older ones. get a trusted brand at 3200 or above.

need good m.2 for boot and programs. find one that works for you.

shuck the externals for 2x 8tb relabed reds for data drives if they do a lot of videos or many photos. might have to hunt down the 2nd pin hack to get them to work. hack is knife and electrical tape. takes 20 seconds

this should give you a solid base to start from. this was just some quick items that i have been looking at for an upcoming build.
