Build incorporating 4670k for around $1000 - $1500?

Hey guys, I'm looking for advice on a mid range gaming build I am planning on buying soon. I currently have decided that I would like to use the 4670k as I only going to use the pc for gaming and I think that it will be alright for the price. I'm mainly going to be using it for mmorpgs and fps games and would like to play on high - max settings, will I achieve this with a 4670k or do I need something more? I thought of the 4670k so I could spend more on a GPU but if Ibought for instance a 780 or something, would it bottleneck?

I'd like to keep the price of the complete build somewhere close to $1000 but I'm willing to pay more for performance. I don't want any ssd's or peripherals (no OS too as I already have one ready) but I would really like some good build suggestions using the 4670k as the processor.

+ when it comes to the mobo and PSU I would like to be able to run whichever gfx card you suggest, in SLI / crossfire. Room to upgrade parts is appreciated.

+For the harddrive just a 1tb WD Black or something will do.

This is my proposition. The i5 and GTX 780 will not bottleneck, they will work just fine together. It is a bit more thana 1000, but you have:
a/ great cpu for gaming
b/ great gpu for gaming
c/ 850w good quality psu for future sli
d/ decent motherboard which can handle overclocking really well and will support your future SLI

If you are not planning on overclocking, drop down to non-k version of the i5 and change your mobo for h87 series. If you are, then the build i recommended will be a quality one and will run every game without a blink.

Cheers for the build. Could you suggest a good case that is easy to work with for a first time build? also I've recreated that build on an Australian pc parts shop and the price was quite a bit too high for me (due to Australians Part prices being atrociously high) so I swapped out the 780 for a 760. I know it will be quite a bit less performance but I think it will meet my requirements. PartsPicker suggests a problem with the Cooler and the case? Thanks

The cooler will fit just fine. This case is just enough for what you are looking for. 760 will be a drop but it will still handle every game out there. I am 99% sure that with this cpu and gpu you will be playing at high-ultra settings at 1080p with decent fps.

This is what I'm ending up with after a few changes due to parts being different prices in Australia.currently the r90 is on sale and much cheaper than a 780 by hundreds of dollars. do you see anything that could be improved in regards to value for money?
