Here is a legitmate reply for you sir.
$5000 is WELL past the point of diminishing returns.
This build is just over $2700 and will handle anything you can throw at it for many years to come.

It has the i7-3930k, an unlocked 6-core processor. With the corsair H100 liquid cooler.

The motherboard comes with 2x4GB of RAM already, so I added the same RAM again for 16GB's total of Quad Channel RAM.

It has Dual GTX 680's in SLI, so expect on average, over 100fps even on Battlefield 3 with Ultra details.

Comes in at the exact sweet spot and I got the best gaming setup known to me, if you run two graphics cards in SLI and the two terabyte hard drives in RAID 0 to get maximum performance and speed, and installing OS on the SSD.
