Build New or Upgrade?

So I am debating on either upgrading or just going all new. So let me tell you my current setup. Main games are H1Z1, PUBG, WoW, Overwatch, GTA V and looking to get future games and kinda want to start streaming.

That being said, my main question is, upgrade to Kaby Lake (7700k) and DDR4 with a new MOBO?

CPU: i5-4430
PSU: CX600M
RAM: 4x 4GB G Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 (16GB TOTAL)
Storage: Samsung EVO 850 EVO SSD
GPU: RX480 4GB
MOBO: ASRock Fata1ty Gaming Z87 Killer LGA 1150

Personally, I'd make the most out of your current system instead of overhaul upgrading (which costs a lot). Since you have a Z87 mobo, I'd look into getting a used i7-4790K (or even an i5-4690K) to take advantage of the mobo's OC capabilities (make sure your MB is updated BIOS). I'd also get an affordable aftermarket CPU cooler (such as the Cryorig H7 or even the Coolermaster 212 EVO) if you decide to overclock the CPU.

You won't see a noticeable increase in performance from the CPU, MB, and RAM upgrade if you build new.

The GPU upgrade to a GTX 1070 would be more noticeable (which would work on that Haswell build of yours).

go for 4790k and get a 1070 competitor from AMD Vega next month.

Curious, been reading up on AMD Ryzen chips since posting. Thoughts on the 1700? More cores and threads seems kinda enticing...

not much gains interms of gaming. it more of a workstation CPU. the 1600, 1600X and ryzen 7 'x' series r the gaming CPUs. can consider the 1500X to be an entry level gaming.

if u r really interested, the 1600 can give u an edge while live streaming. but a video capture card can do that for u even with a 4790k.

The 4790k with a new GPU upgrade would suit you perfectly, go for the 4790k first because of the streaming, then upgrade to a 1080 or equivalent after.
