Build is always better as you get better value and higher warranty okey the down side is the different warranties, if something is defect you have to send it back which is time consuming.

What will you do with the computer? If it's only for gaming then it's way to expensive. I have looked and I see that you have no gpu added.

if you want to spend for about 2k then here is a setup, Socket 1150 version

Wait for Nvidia 780Ti which should be a beast.

If you can return the purchased stuff then do it and you can follow for instance my setup which will last a few years.

it's very hard to say; it depends on the budget and your expectations. The setup I made would be a very high-end system that would last for some time. You could for instance lower the gpu to and 7950 or 7870 XT (Tahit LE gpu) and get decent performance for the price. The PSU could also be lowered.

The big advantage with a socket 2011 cpu that is that two gpus in SLI/CF can get full access to the PCI Express lines which is good if upgrade, in form of an additional gpu. If you aware of Xeon Phi then they would benefit from the 40 PCI-E lines.
