I asked on Linustech and Reddit but didn't really get any answers. I was going to make multiple posts but I'll ask all my questions here. I'd put a pcpartpicker link but most of my parts aren't even on the site.

I'm starting with a pretty much stock HP Pavilion p7-1534 if someone wants more detailed specs. Please don't say "get a new mobo", I'll be fine with this it's my first build I don't need something crazy.

I have 1 stick of 8GB ram in my pc that I'm trying to upgrade, eventually getting get 3 more? But I want to make sure I get the right one. The model number on the current stick is M378B1G73BH0-CK0. Also, what price should I be paying so I know I don't get ripped off.

I plan on upgrading to an A10-5800K and a GTX 1650 "Windforce". My power supply is a PS-5301-02 300W. Will I be safe or do I need a new power supply. I can supply info on drives or other parts if that's important.

Upgrading from A8-5500 to A10-5800K, will the old CoolerMaster CM12V be fine? Will it be cooled enough if I want to overclock?

I also plan on getting a 500GB SSD.

Is there anything else I should be thinking of?

Thank you.

Edit: It is possible to oc the A10-5800K with the MS-7778 mobo right? And the 1650 "Windforce" will for sure fit?

2 sticks of 8 should be plenty. You get a nice boost from going from single channel ram to dual channel.

Why upgrade the cpu for the same cpu that is running 0.4ghz faster? You still wont be playing most modern games.

OC - Nope...
Found the ram on ebay.
I would replace the powersupply to something like a cx550.Mainly because of the future upgrades, since i dont think you are gonna be stuck on A10 5800K for long.
If i were you i would just safe up 300$ (you can sell your HP),and buy a new, nice cpu/ram/mobo combo.
Ofcourse you can pair it with a 1650.
A 500GB will serve you much better than a HDD.

OC - Nope, it's an OEM board and all OC features were turned off for HP.
1650 - Yes.

Is something wrong with the stock cooler? This is just a fan
