Upgradable path........there's only a slight chance that the mid and high end CPUs from 2025 will be usable on any current motherboard. You'd probably have to buy a new motherboard too.
DDR5 RAM is just creeping into the market now and will likely be dominant over DDR4 within a couple of years. A motherboard is likely only to accept one or the other...not both.
GPU prices have been ridiculous lately, but I hear talk they may have peaked and may be trending down. Maybe you can save 100 or 200 by waiting 3 months? I don't know....I don't buy video cards.
Drives, cases, coolers, and power supply may remain compatible for longer periods....without becoming outdated.
Me? If I wanted Intel, I'd choose from i5-12600K, i7-12700, or i7-12700K...........but I don't game. You may want to go lower, like 12400, so you can spend more on the GPU. Try to achieve a balance, depending on your most important requirements.
