Hi guys. Im kind of a new in here so i would like to get some ideas and feedbacks for my question. Im doubting to buy ryzen 5 2600 now since ryzen 3000 will be launched next week. Should i get the ryzen 5 2600 or just wait for the next gen? My budget on my pc would be usd 1100 anyway. Usd 1100 will be for the whole system since i got my monitor, mouse, keyboard and headset. Thank you for your suggestion guys!

There's no chance of Ryzen 3000 starting sales before July 7th, how long are you prepared to wait ? I have just seen some results of 3600 performance and it seems to have a good edge in single core performance over my 2700x, I think that's worth waiting for.

AMD is releasing its 7nm Ryzen 3000 CPUs on 7/7. AMD's third generation of Ryzen CPUs are here, including the company's first mainstream CPU to feature 12 cores, the Ryzen 9 3900X. The company is announcing five new processors as part of the lineup, all with a release date of July 7th.

The choice is up to you.If you don't mind the little higher price. For me i have the ryzen 5 2600 which makes upgrading to 3600 not really worth it.But look at the other side of the story as well. The zen+ cpu are getting mad price cuts.I bought my cpu for 3.6k its down to 2.8k and i predict it's even gonna drop more.

so maybe i will just wait for the price reduction of all of the products. problem is i dont have a unit right now and im planning to build from start. building this ryzen 3000 may become a pain in my ass since i need to buy x570 motherboard and i dont have idea on how much it would cost me. i currently have USD 1,100.00 im planning to get rtx 2070 with ryzen 5 2600. if i want, i can buy right now but i have doubts on this ryzen 3000 since it will come out next month. i think i will be waiting so i will not get any regrets since if the performance is not that good, i will get a little discount on my r5 2600. thank you guys!

What resolution and Hz is your monitor? For example at 1080p 144Hz Id expect Ryzen 3000 to have some benefits, however 1440p 60Hz any difference will be negligible as all you need is 60fps.

Not saying you shouldn’t wait but the gains Ryzen 3000 may bring are going to depend how you use the system.
