Expected game settings with minimum 40fps:
-Skyrim (and any future skyrim like open world games like upcoming fallout): Very High

-Heroes of Newerth: High

-Starcraft II: High

Thank you for the quick response!
I'm definitely not expecting heaven & earth from this build. I'm hoping 40fps will be fluid enough to be playable.
I'm honestly worried about the longevity of the gtx 960 with 2GB VRAM @1080p

So why worry? For the same price (GPU+PSU) you get a great PSU, same performance and 3GB VRAM @ Newegg.

More than 3 years later, that build has served me well & still continues to do so.
Is there anything I can do to breathe some more life into it?
a short term boost to help it keep up for 2 more years, around which time i'll be doing another build from scratch

Your set is still dece (cpu/ram/psu). 200 bucks will give you what you want: a twice stronger gpu.
