Hi guys,

building a new gaming rig and heres what I think of building on a very tight budget.

Intel I5-4690K
MSI Gaming Z97 gaming 5
MSI GTX 960
M.2 SSD 250GB Samsung
1TB WD Black 7200rpm
Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 2x8gb
Corsair 300R
Corsair CS650M Gold Modular 650W
Corsair H80i GT CPU cooler

can I play the game decently?

comments and suggestions are welcome! thank you!

Im currently residing in the Philippines. M.2 is just to run my OS. gtx 970 here is almost price comparable to a zotac 980 thats why im sticking to the gtx 960. only 196 usd here

Not all M.2 capable boards are also bootable. Double-check BIOS updates to make sure this is supported.

Also, what kind of games will you be playing?

Ill be playing mostly dota 2, skyrim, dragon age inquisition, and hopefully witcher 2 and 3.

will check the m.2 bios. cheers for this!

yes as they said not all mobos can boot from m2. plus SSD are pretty fast so you shouldnt worry or spend budget in that area. focus your budget mostly on cpu and gpu, then get a good quality power supply (XFX antec seasonic or evga), then use the rest for everything else.

The Gtx 970 will be the better way to go.

I suggest skipping the Corsair water cooler for now because you can always get it later and OC your cpu...
Get the Asus Z97 A instead of the MSI motherboard.

Put the money you save towards a blower style gtx 970.

The rig that you put together will play the witcher 3 and the other games you like however you will not be able to play on ultra settings when playing the withcer 3. You will be able to play skyrim, Dota 2 with ultra settings however if you mod skyrim than you might want to more video ram.
