Hey guys.
Before my question, I'd like to mention I have read the voting threads with the suggested builds, and they were helpful.
My friend needs a computer and I said I'll build him one to save him one. It'll be my first build. He doesn't game, and this will be a general multitasking computer. It needs to be under $400. He will also be using two monitors. I've come up with the following build, which has a quad core because it doesn't feel right building a new computer without it. Please let me know if you approve of the build or if you have any suggestions. Much appreciated in advance.
AMD Athlon ii x4 640
ASUS AM3 board (standard...something around $60-70)
500 GB WD Caviar Blue 3.0 GB/s @ 7200 RPM
Kingston 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333 Mhz
X22 DVD-RW burner
Cooler Master 500W PSU
NVIDIA Geforce GT 8400 GS (for the dual monitors)
Cooler Master Elite 430 (friend wants LED fan :s)
thanks!
