Hi guys

Having this issue with a new upgrade , currently have the ASUS x370 prime pro which until a few days was running a ryzen 5 1600 in the mobo for around 4 years, i upgraded to the ryzen 5 5600x with the new bios 6042 update and have been having the ram issue ever since , the build won't post when RAM is in dual channel configuration (a2 and b2 ) however, it posts fine in single channel and also posts with slots a1 and a2 filled with the ram ( also shows the full 16GB in a1 and a2 for use )

already tried troubleshooting :
clear cmos ( 3 times )
left build overnight unplugged
changed CPU back to 1600 ( this works and posts in dual channel )
checked for bent pins
tried a1 and b1 , with no luck
checked over tightening on the heatsink
benchmarked new CPU on different stress tests matching most of the 5600x scores , even left cinebench on for 6 hours no errors
cleaned ram slots with air compression

ram is the same corsair vengeance ram cmk16GX4m2a2133c13 2133mhz x2 8GB ive been using for years with no issues
any help would be great on this

Solution
Is the RAM on QVL? Might be a faulty controller (in the CPU) or a module set that is not compatible with this CPU. AMD is touchy about RAM.
the ram was in QVL however it is old ram that might not be compatible with the new CPU itself , got the new version of the corsair vengeance now the mobo is running 4 new sticks in quad channel @ 3600 mhz with no issue didnt even need to clear the cmos just poped in an dcop'd it straight away , think it was time to retire the ram it has done me well over the past 5 years aways , thanks though
