First let me say I truly appreciate all the excellent help I've gotten from
this group over the last couple of weeks. All of you: Give yourself a hand!
:)

With the price of printers as low as they are- I'm considering getting
myself a CD/DVD printer (epson r200/r300/r310) since it seems like I can get
one with ink carts for $100 or less. I'm intrigued by Continuous ink
systems though... And it seems they are about $200 for some tubing and empty
bottles? Is it possible to make your own continuous inking system? a do it
yourself (diy) kind of thing?

If anyone has instructions, literature, photo's, etc... I'd love to see and
read them. Please let us all know :)

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

There is a newsgroup devoted to DIY CIS inkjet systems.

It might be a Yahoo.com group or it could be a Usenet group.

YOu'll have to do a little searching on your own.

I used to subscribe, but decided not to build a CIS.

Ok reality is CIS works with Epson and Canon with seperate Ink tanks .. HP
not so good small foam chambers .
As for Epson canon well the Ink tank foam will get tired and not hold as
much ink when fed with a CIS system so new tanks will be neede
A lot of work whe nsimple refills works well.
Foamless tanks are whars needed for true long trouble free life

Messing with Canon foam based cartridges could lead to printhead clogs.
I have heard that it is when too much ink getting into the printhead
that eventually causes the clogging. Foamless cartridge for Canon is
a dangerous game to play.
