Hello I would like to build a new pc coming from amd fx 8350 and a r9 270x, my budget is about 1,100-1,200.

I am deciding on either a x99 motherboard with a intel i7 5820k or a z97 and i7 4790k and i will be gaming only. The reason I want the 5820k is that for Gta v i feel it will use more than 4 cores because of all the ai, and otherstuff and it would probably future proof my cpu a lil bit. I would love to hear your guys thoughts on these 2 builds and feel free to suggest other parts or build. I will most likely end up buying the case and cpu first as i got 600 bucks atm then get the rest of the parts decemeber-january. I do plan to overlock but medium lev. My gaming res is 1080p

The 2 builds i put together are

X99 build
CPU: i7 5820k 6 core haswell-E
Mobo: Asrock extreme 3 or Gigabyte ud4
HDD: 320gb (temporary)
Case: Corsair obsidian 750d
CPU Fan: Corsair h105
PSU: Evga 850 watt b2
OS: Windows 7 64 bit sp1
RAM: 4gb crucial ddr4 (later upgrade to 8gb)
GPU: I will be temporally using my r9 270x for 2-3 months and get a gtx 970

z97 build
CPU: Intel i7 4790k
Mobo: Asus hero VII
Case: Corsair obsidian 750d
HDD: 320gb (temorary)
Cpu fan: Corsair h105
Psu: Evga 850 watt b2
OS: Windows 7 64 bit sp1
Ram: hyper 8gb ddr3
GPU: R9 270X (temporary until i get my gtx 970)

Solution
That should give the option for some overclocking, but as the rest is that up to you to try or not.It could shed some light on the question whether it is necessary to upgrade the pc anyway.
What's your current build? If you could crossfire by now,if the psu is able to handle the load, could you just buy a second r9 270X and be done until januari.Maybe overclock the cpu depending on the motherboard. The crossfire too btw.
So most important, which motherboard and psu do you have?

Otherwise would i go for build nr.2 and get a second r9 270X with it.I also would pick Windows 8.1 by now.

current build is

Cpu: Amd fx 8350
Mobo: Asus m5a97 r2.0
Case: nzxt source 210
Hdd: 320gb
Cpu fan: hyper 212 evo
Psu: thermal take 750 watt non modular
Os: windows 7 64 bit sp1
Ram: Hyper x black 8gb ddr3
Gpu: R9 270x

I do not plan to sli or crossfire

There are more options for this motherboard as in "LE"or "EVO",so which one?

That's to bad,but your choice. With that psu is it possible and a much more cost effective way to increase the fps.

With these parts do i not see a reason to upgrade everything, that psu comes to mind, but maybe you want to sell your "old" rig as a system.
