Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum, but I already read through much stuff here when I was looking for opinions and suggestions for good hardware to use in possible computer builds. Now I guess it's my turn to ask for your opinion and possible suggestions to a gaming rig a friend of mine wants to build and asked my help for.

He wants to pay ~720€ max. for the computer and already needs to pay 20€ for the site where he's ordering it for them to build it together before sending the computer to him. So only ~700€ are left to invest into good hardware.

These are my thoughts for a good gaming rig:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3350p Box = 152,43€
MB: ASRock ZH77 Pro3 = 67,65€
RAM: 8GB-Set Corsair Vengeance red PC3-12800U CL9 = 65,09€
GPU: MSI N660Ti Power Edition 2GD5/OC - GeForce GTX 660 Ti = 196,09€
Case: Zalman Z11 Plus Mid Tower = 60,21€
PSU: Seasonic S12II-620W = 65,48€
Storage: HDD WD Caviar Blue 1TB = 55,51€
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO = 30,40€
Optical drive: LiteOn iHAS124-04 black SATA = 16,11€

That's about 708€ + the 20€ for building this from the site he's ordering it = ~728,97€ in total. It should stay below 730€ if possible. :ange:

So yeah, those are pretty much my thoughts... Do you think that's a good gaming rig for this price? Do you have any suggestions in improving any hardware for about the same amount of money?
Thanks in forward for your help everyone. =]

I'm from Germany btw. if you're wondering about the Euros 😀

Heh, I forgot to convert the euros to USD:

708€ = ~939$
728€ = ~965$

Alright, it should stay below 730€/~968$ if possible. Any help, opinions or suggestions would be appreciated. :)

I'm sorry for triple posting, but I just found a GTX 660 Ti for the same price as the HD7870, so I guess I'll pick it over the 7870.
It's a MSI N660Ti Power Edition OC for 196,09€ (so only 73 cents more expensive)
Is the GTX 660 Ti better than the Radeon HD7870? I already read different opinions about it and if it's better than the HD7870, would it bottleneck with anything in that computer setup?

I'm also sorry for being impatient, I just need to know asap if that's a nice gaming rig for the price or if there's anything wrong with it... I will shut up now though, since I already said everything I needed to. :ange:
