Building a $800 pc. Need help.

Hi guys. Im buidling an $800 pc. This is my first build and i desperately need help as i am no expert. First of ill list down the specs of the build im planning to buy.


Specs:

CPU: Intel core i5 2400 sandy bridge.

GPU: Club 3d Geforce gtx 680 4gb.

RAM: Kingston 1x8gb @ 1600mhz.

Chassis: Thermaltake v4 black edition.

PSU: Corsair VS650.

Motherboard: Asus P8H61-M-Le.

Optical Drive : Asus DRW-24D3ST DVD Burner.

Hard Drive: Seagate 1TB Barracuda Hard Drive 3.5" SATA.


Now if there is any problem with the build please do tell me and is the 600w psu enough as i plan to OC the gtx 680. And another thing if u guys have a better build please list it down below.

Personally, I would go for an unlocked i5 and a 670. With the money you save on the gpu you could add a small SSD (~70$) and have a much better overall system. I would also change the 1x 8GB of ram to 2x 4GB for dual channel and maybe add a cheap-ish air cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (should be available for ~30$) so you can OC the cpu a bit.

Other than that it should be workable. I am not sure how much more power an overclocked 680 / 670 is going to draw, but with moderate OCing I see no problem.

Regarding the GPU: It is also a question of which resolution you game on. The 670 will be entirely sufficient for Full HD.

The cooler im getting is for around $7. And another thing im getting the 680 used and its about the same price as a new 7950. And please could u tell me the advantages and ssd has over an hdd. I play on a resolution of 1680 x 1050. And could u please tell me how long this system will last. I dont mind turning down the graphics of games.

Just that the parts used seem kinda old. More like items that were popular 12-18 months ago. I would have thought a $800 budget would entail a i5 4430 + B85 build with something like a GTX760.

I took the gtx 680 because its faster than a gtx 760. And i went with this build because parts in my country are a little expensive. Let me list down the prices of some of the components of the build.

CPU: it is a USED core i5 2400 and it cost $140.

GPU: A new gtx 680 4gb costs around $600 in my country.

RAM: 8gb of ram costs $75 where i live.


So i hope u can understand my situation 😛
