I am looking to upgrade my computer/build a new one. I was thinking about waiting for AMD 3950x CPU but if there something better out there then i will go for that cpu. I also looking to buying a RTX 2080 Ti because i want to start playing 2k and 4k gaming or should i wait for the next gen cards.. i bought a 4k monitor to start the processed of my build. Money not a problem here, some people have have a budget but i dont. O Also this computer will be use for editing photos.

My current computer spec.
CPU- Intel 5820k
Video Card- GTX 1070
Ram- DDR4 3200
Monitor- Acer predator XB3 4k 120hz with overdrive to 144hz

Thanks for helping me out!

Unless you’re doing extreme productivity workloads a 3950x will only slow you down, if you mostly game a 9900k will be more than enough to handle photo editing too. If money isn’t an option why not wait for a 9900KS?
2080ti is still a solid choice and you’ll be waiting 6+months to get your hands on a 3080ti that’s actually any good...

The 2080Ti will do 4k Gaming with averages over 60FPS https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gigabyte-aorus-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-xtreme-11g,5953-3.html That should be enough for most people and if your monitor is G-Sync that will make your experience even better.

Since money isn't an issue you can get one hell of a machine. While waiting for the 3950X isn't the worst idea, the 3900X already gives great multi-core performance. The 3900X already is faster than the 2950X in some benchmarks https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/2519?vs=2132 so while the 3950X will be faster still, there won't be much of a reason to wait. The only issue comes in finding a place that has the 3900X in stock.

(Edited to past the pcpartpicker list.)
The Samsung drive would be for the OS and applications while the Intel drives would be for games and the HDD would be for bulk storage.

I am just curious but what about the 3600x will that be good for gaming and photo editing?

Why are people suggesting that you upgrade that CPU? No need. Just keep the system as is and get an RTX 2080 Super or 2080 ti. Really the Super 2080 is enough for 4K 60hz. Even the RTX 2080 ti isn't quite enough for 4K high refresh rate gaming. Only get the RTX 2080 ti if you want the ray tracing at 4K 60hz. It does it in Battlefield V with DLSS but you have to enable DLSS or else you get fps under 50. My suggestion is to grab an RTX 2080 Super and play at 1440p 144hz. The RTX 2080 ti can maybe do 144Hz at 4K with DLSS. But then that's not really a true 4K. And the games that the RTX 2080 ti can do it in without DLSS the RTX 2080 super can do it too because those games aren't demanding.
